Wayne Lee Smith, 82, of Lexington, Virginia died Thursday, April 11, 2019 at Carilion Stonewall Jackson Hospital.

Born March 5, 1937 in Rockbridge County, he was a son of the late Marion Willis Smith and Harriet Mutispaugh Smith.

Wayne was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force.

Surviving are his brother, Ralph Smith of Florida; nephew, Don C. Smith; long-time friend, Kristen Messick; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, April 15, 2019 at Harrison Funeral Home.
