Cecil Edna Green Chittum, 97, of Buena Vista, Virginia passed away Sunday, April 14, 2019 at Shenandoah Valley Health & Rehab.

Born April 21, 1921 in Rockbridge County, she was the daughter of the late Earl Sylvester Green and Minnie Rosa Huffman Green.

Cecil was a member of Buena Vista Pentecostal Holiness Church.

She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She never met a stranger through out her long life.

Cecil was the beloved mother of children, Linda C. Clevenger and Danny L. Chittum Sr. (Linda). Also surviving are six grandchildren: Jeff Clevenger, Drace Clevenger (Suzy), Stephanie Shafer (Jeff), Greta Rubenalt (Tom), Sonia Floyd, and Danny Chittum Jr. (Alaina); 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mildred Ward (Bill), and brother, Ollie Green; and special friends who were just like family, Betty and Butch Wise and Della Burch.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, April 19, 2019 at the Buena Vista Pentecostal Holiness Church by the Rev. Adam Williams and Drace Clevenger. Burial will follow at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorial contributions can be made to the Buena Vista Pentecostal Holiness Church.
