James Robert Kitt, 60, of 800 Ridgeway Street in Clifton Forge, Virginia died Tuesday, April 30, 2019 in Lewis Gale-Alleghany Hospital at Low Moor.

Mr. Kitt was born September 19, 1958 in Alleghany County, a son of Charlotte Vint Kitt Martin of Clifton Forge and the late Robert Kitt.

He was a retired technician with Tinker Mountain Workshop.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Surviving in addition to his mother are four sisters, Pauline Rowan and her husband, Carl of Eagle Rock; Karen Groves and herhusband, Henry, and Michelle Martin, all of Clifton Forge; and Debra Groves of Covington; several nieces and nephews and a special longtime friend, Chris Reynolds.

In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated.

A memorial service is planned for a later date.

The family suggests that donations in his name be made to the March of Dimes, 1550 Crystal Drive, Suite 1300, Arlington, VA 22202.
