Obituary for Wilda Virginia Jackson Wilda Virginia Jackson
Hot Springs Resident Was Burnsville United Methodist Church Member

Wilda Virginia Jackson, 91, of Hot Springs passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at The Springs Nursing Center, where she had resided for the past seven years.

She was born in Highland County on December 8, 1927, the only child to the late William Rosser and Hallie Virginia (Armstrong) Mackey.

Wilda was married to Frederick Lewis Jackson, who preceded her in death in 1980.

A wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, Wilda took great pride in spoiling her family. In addition to being a caregiver to several family members, she was a farmer who loved raising animals and tending her garden. She enjoyed taking care of her flowers and will be remembered as a wonderful cook and one who never met a stranger. Mrs. Jackson was also a member of Burnsville United Methodist Church and the Women's Group.

Wilda is survived by two daughters, Brenda Jackson Hite and husband, Hugh "Popeye," and Lois Ann Keyser, all of Healing Springs; one son, Terry Gray Jackson and wife, Mary Lee of Burnsville; five grandchildren, David Wayne Keyser and wife, Angie, Lorie Perna and husband, Ian, Carol Hite Adcock, Lisa Rexrode and husband, James, and Tommy Lee Jackson; as well as great-grandchildren, Drew, Ryan and Ben Adcock, Mason, Kendall and Matthew Keyser and Bentley and Joshua Rexrode.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son-in-law, Tommy Keyser.

A funeral service will be held at 12 noon, Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Burnsville United Methodist Church with Rev. Lorrie Aikens and Pastor Donald Lee Altizer officiating. Burial will follow in Burnsville Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be her grandsons, Drew, Ryan and Ben Adcock, David, Mason and Matthew Keyser, Tommy Jackson and James Rexrode.

Honorary pallbearers will be family and friends in attendance.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Burnsville United Methodist Church, c/o Joyce Alexander, 104 Buck Run Lane, Burnsville, or to Burnsville Cemetery Fund, 4593 Muddy Run Road, Burnsville, Va. 24487.

The Obaugh Funeral Home, McDowell, handled the arrangements.
