Sidney Howard Dobbs, age 59, of 18497 Botetourt Road, Eagle Rock, Virginia died Thursday, May 16, 2019 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Roanoke.

Sidney was born September 28, 1959 in Clifton Forge to Howard Richard and Nancy Critzer Dobbs.

He was a 1977 graduate of Clifton Forge High School and a retired technician and laborer for CSX Transportation.

He is survived by his parents, Richard and Nancy Dobbs of Clifton Forge; a daughter, Kayla Yellman and husband, Eric of Lorton; a son, Nicholas Dobbs and wife, Jessica of Roanoke; a brother, Richard K. "Rick" Dobbs of Clifton Forge; and two grandchildren, Tanner Yellman and Grant Yellman. Also surviving is his fiance, Wendy StClair and her sons, Jacob Fairburn and Brandon Fairburn, as well as his dogs, Mojo and Jackson.

In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, is handling arrangements.
