Peggy Carolyn Ramsey Sweet, 78, of Lexington, Virginia died Sunday, May 26, 2019 in Heritage Hall.

Born November 5, 1940 in Rockbridge County, she was a daughter of the late Henry David Wilson Ramsey and Sally Virginia Hayslett Ramsey.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James David Sweet Sr., and a son, James David Sweet Jr.

Surviving are her children, Sue Sweet of Buena Vista and Steven Sweet of Lexington; sister, Edna Ramsey Dedrick; and brothers, William Riley Ramsey and David Wilson Ramsey.

The funeral was conducted Thursday, May 30 at Harrison Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Dean Staton. Burial followed at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens.

Arrangements were by Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory.
