Obituary for Wesley Leland Snead, Jr. Wesley Leland Snead, Jr.
Former Dominion Energy Serviceman Was Sharon Baptist Church Member

Wesley Leland Snead, Jr., age 62, of 208 Circle H Lane, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Saturday, June 8, 2019 at his residence.

He was born May 7, 1957 in Clifton Forge, Virginia to Ellen Fayne Nicely Snead and the late Wesley Leland Snead, Sr.

He retired from Dominion Energy as a serviceman and attended Sharon Baptist Church.

He enjoyed hunting and working at home. He was a loving son, husband, dad and pappy.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie Cook Snead of Clifton Forge; his mother, Ellen Fayne Nicely Snead of Clifton Forge; two daughters, Heather Lynn Hogan and husband, Vincent of Virginia Beach, Jill Susanne Wheelin and husband, Michael of Glen Allen; four grandchildren, Isabella Grace Hogan, Brady Michael Hogan, Abigail Kaylee Wheelin, Mason Caleb Wheelin; a number of nieces and nephews; he's also survived by many friends at the Triangle Store and Restaurant.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, with Reverend Virgil Woodie officiating. Interment will follow in Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery, Clifton Forge. Pallbearers will be Cletus Nicely, Ralph Tucker, Michael Nicely, Buddy Buchanan, Randy Nicely, Terry Loving, Barry Daniels, Casey Nicely, Fernando Lopez and Dominion Energy Employees will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Nicely Funeral Home.

The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the New Sharon Cemetery Fund, P. O. Box 227, Clifton Forge, Virginia 24422.
