Obituary for Trudy L. Reed Trudy L. Reed
Ronceverte Resident Was Preschool, Story Hour Teacher

Trudy L. Reed, 64, of Ronceverte, West Virginia passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia following a sudden illness.

Trudy was born May 8, 1955 in Ronceverte, the daughter of the late Margaret E. Wetzel Lacey.

She was a member of the Caldwell Presbyterian Church and attended the Ronceverte Presbyterian Church.

Trudy was a preschool teacher and a dedicated story hour teacher, known as "Miss Trudy" in Lewisburg and Ronceverte.

She was an avid photographer and was a loyal WVU Mountaineer and Washington Redskins football fan. One of the most important things in her life was that she was a proud grandmother of Laken and Jonah.

Surviving are her husband, L. E. Reed; daughter, Shana E. Bennett and her husband, Jody of Caldwell; son, Scott Reed and his wife, Danielle of Ronceverte; grandchildren, Laken Bennett and Jonah Reed; sisters, Katie Howard and her husband, Richard of Buffalo, WV and Sheila Tate and her husband, Price of White Sulphur Springs; special (thought of as) grandchildren, Chase and Avery McCoy and Rhett Baker; special friends, Ginny Groves and Miss Boo Bowden, as well as several special nieces and nephews and their children.

A celebration of Trudy's life will be held on Thursday June 13, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Ronceverte Presbyterian Church with Rev. Stephen Baldwin, Rev. Greg Scott and Rev. Mike Teubert officiating.

Be sure to wear your WVU blue and gold attire.

In honoring Trudy's wishes, she will be cremated.

The Reed family will receive their family and friends from 1:00 p.m. until time of services on Thursday at the church.

The Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
