Marvin Leo McCullough Sr., 86, died Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at the Mayflower in Lexington, Virginia.

He was born February 3, 1933, a son of the late Ermine G. McCullough Sr. and Dorothy Wills McCullough.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Marvin Leo McCullough Jr.; sisters, Mary M Sorrells, Helen M Pruett and Nancy M McKemy; brothers, E. G. "Bo" McCullough Jr. and B. C. "Johnnie" McCullough Sr.

He was a member of the Lauderdale A. R. Presbyterian Church, a veteran of the U. S. Air Force, and retired from the U. S. Postal Service.

He is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Mable "Faye" S. McCullough; and son, Don McCullough of Charlotte, N.C.

The funeral will be conducted Monday, June 10 at Lauderdale A. R. Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Ben Dowling, with burial at Stonewall Jackson Cemetery.

The family has requested that memorials be designated to the Lauderdale A. R. P. Church or Rockbridge Area Hospice.
