Edwin T. Walker Jr., 86, husband of Margaret Green Walker, died Sunday, June 9, 2019 at Kendal Borden Center in Lexington, Virginia.

He was born in Lexington, a son of the late Edwin T. Walker Sr. and Alice Thompson Walker.

He was retired from Washington and Lee University with over 40 years of service.

He was a member in good standing of First Baptist Church of Lexington.

In addition to his parents, two sisters preceded Edwin in death, Alice "Pete" Blackburn of Fort Washington, Md., and Velma Walker of Lexington.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 63 years is his son, Gerrold Walker; sister, Eloise Johnson; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 15 at First Baptist Church in Lexington. In addition, there will be visitation and viewing on Friday, June 14 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Harrison Funeral Home.
