Helen Craft Smith, 76, of 100 Parkview Ave., Covington, Virginia died Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem.

Mrs. Smith was born October 18, 1942 in Alleghany County, a daughter of the late Harry and Lena Bess Craft.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

Surviving are her husband, Robert D. Smith of Covington; her son, Anthony "Tony" Lewis, and his wife, Dawn of Covington; her grandson, Kyle D. Lewis of Covington; her great granddaughter, Madelyne Jolene Lewis of Covington; her sister, Audrey "PeeWee" Bradley of Clifton Forge; two brothers, Tommy "Peanut" Craft and his wife, Dianne of Canton, Ohio and Reginald "Minner" Craft and his wife, Connie of Covington and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Arritt Funeral Home with the Rev. Donnie Bowker officiating.

Interment will be made in Locust Bottom Cemetery in Botetourt County.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:30 until 8:00 p.m. at Arritt Funeral Home.

The family suggests that donations in Mrs. Smith's name be made to the Faith Baptist Church Building Fund, 311 Jackson Drive, Covington, VA 24426
