Obituary for William Alfred Burns William Alfred Burns
White Sulphur Springs Resident Was U. S. Navy Veteran, Retired Truck Driver

William Alfred Burns, age 81, of White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia passed away Friday, June 14, 2019 at Peyton Hospice House in Lewisburg.

Born October 28, 1937 at Fort Springs, he was a son of the late Fred Alfred and Agnes Virginia Burns.

Bill was a retired truck driver for R. B .S. in Caldwell for many years, enjoyed fishing, and was a U. S. Navy veteran.

He greatly enjoyed spending time with his entire family, R.B.S. family and attended Whatcoat United Methodist Church in White Sulphur Springs.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sons, William A. Burns and Fred Alfred Burns; a sister, Mary Johnson and four brothers, James Howard Burns, Edward Burns, Alvin Burns, and Fredrick Burns.

He is survived by his wife, Stacy-Ann Catherine Burns; two daughters, Cheryl-Ann Marie Burns Waldron and Charlotte Marie Rutherford; three sons, Michael Lewis Burns, James Lee Burns and Joshua Corey Burns; grandchildren, Anthony, Amanda, Sheena, Melanie, Betty, Thomas, Matthew, Mallory, Chris, Laken, Levi, Colten, Benson, Lillie and Calix; great-grandchildren, Bella-Paige, Ethan Boone, Zaira, Emalee , Heaven Grace, Carter, Brileigh, Cody, Katelyn, Paige, Alayna, Christian, Tyler, Hunter, Gabe, Elliana, and Kenzlee; three sisters, Nora Jane Judy, Dorothy Fisher and Virginia "Jenny" Francisco; and two brothers, Larry Burns and Lewis Burns; a special niece, Melissa Fisher Hughes; and many other nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg, with Pastor Ed Craft officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Fort Springs.

The family will receive friends and family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Wednesday.

The Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
