Welland Joseph Law, 69, of Hot Springs, Virginia passed away Sunday, June 16, 2019 at his residence.

He was born August 6, 1949 in Cologne, Germany, the son of the late Joseph Law and Helen Glaushauser Law.

Mr. Law was a pastry chef for the Homestead Resort with 48 years of service.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He adored his grandchildren and could always be found participating in any of their activities. He enjoyed working in the yard and gardening. He liked to travel and explore military ships and was a huge history buff.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Roxanne Yvonne Stanley Law, whom he married on September 29, 1974; his daughter, Cathy Lowry and husband, Jamie of Hot Springs; three grandchildren, Colby, Cameron, Cooper Lowry, all of Hot Springs; a sister, Terry Alfred and husband, Tommy of Callaghan, Virginia.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 20, 2019 at McLaughlin & Young Funeral Home with Pastor Donald Lee Altizer officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Doris L. Via Cancer Fund, P. O. Box 174, Hot Springs, Virginia 24445.
