Alma Frances Usery Fridley, 89, of Conyers, Georgia and formerly of Covington, died June 2, 2019.

Mrs. Fridley was born July 24, 1929, in Alma, Georgia, a daughter of the late Thomas H. and Minnie Usery.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Leo Fridley; and one brother, Thomas "Sonny" Usery.

Frances was a lifelong NASCAR fan and enjoyed pulling for her favorite drivers, Richard Petty and Jeff Gordon. She enjoyed car rides on country roads, the music of Luke Bryan and Billy Currington, and taking pictures of old style homes and barns. She was also an avid gardener, having been especially proud of her tomato plants that grew to over six feet tall.

Surviving are her daughter, Theresa Martin and husband, Gregory of Covington; one son, Wayne Fridley and wife, Rita of San Antonio, TX; four grandchildren, Dennis Martin and his wife, Cindy of Covington, Richard Martin and his wife, Kelly of Conyers, GA, Tina Fridley of Tampa, FL, and Mike Fridley of Austin, TX; seven great grandchildren, Alexandria Martin, Ethan Martin, Abigail Martin, Jasper Martin, Cheyenne Encinias, Madison Fridley, and Mackenzie Fridley; and a former daughter-in-law, Barbara Fridley of Tampa, FL.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 22, at 2 p.m. at Arritt Funeral Home with the Rev. J. B. Broughman officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
