Obituary for Virginia Camden Glass Virginia Camden Glass
Burlington Industries Retiree Was Known For Her Yeast Rolls, Being An Exemplary Christian

Virginia Camden Glass, 97, daughter of the late Richard and Mary Camden, passed away June 22, 2019 at Kendal of Lexington.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roxie Glass, as well as her six siblings.

Virginia is survived by her son, Rick (Cindy) Glass of Nashville, Tenn., and her daughter, Linda (David) Pollock of Glasgow. Also surviving are grandchildren, Richie (Jennifer) Glass, Savanna Crutcher, all of Nashville, and Kimberly Pollock and Kasey (David) McDaniel of Glasgow. Great-grandchildren include Cloie and Lucille Glass, and Taylor, Avery and Brennan McDaniel. She was blessed with a great-great granddaughter, Addison Grace.

Virginia retired from Burlington Industries and then thoroughly enjoyed babysitting for a great number of children. She will be remembered for her delicious yeast rolls as she baked and distributed them to sick people throughout the community for many years. Kendal staff will long remember these rolls as well.

She was a faithful servant of God and a member of Falling Spring Presbyterian Church until the passing of her husband and then joined Glasgow Baptist Church, where she regularly attended until her health declined. Her son-in-law described her as "the best example of a Christian" that he had ever seen.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, at Glasgow Baptist Church by the Rev. William Thomas. Burial will follow at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens.

Friends may gather with the family for one hour prior to the service or at Linda and David Pollock's home between now and service time.

Arrangements are by Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory.
