Molly Sorrells McNutt, 84, of Roanoke, Virginia and formerly of Lexington, passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2019.

She was born on March 31, 1935 in Rockbridge County, daughter of the late Walter H. and Mildred Agnor Sorrells.

In addition to her parents, Molly was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Rice Alexander McNutt; and two sisters, Agnes York of Bloomington, Ind., and Shirley Sorrells of Lexington.

Molly was a military wife and homemaker. She was involved with the local Women of the Moose organization.

Molly is survived by two sisters, Edith Entsminger (Page) and Faye Vess (Charles) of Lexington; and six nephews, Robert Vincent (Janet) of Woodbridge, Greg Vincent of Bloomington, Ind., Steven Entsminger of Hillsville, Mike Entsminger of Millboro, and Bill Austin and Gene Austin of Buena Vista. Also surviving are four nieces, Sandy Black (Alex) of Deputy, Ind., Vicky Saunders (Gordon) and Nicky Vess, both of Lexington, and Mary Beth Wimer (Ray) of Raphine.

Funeral services will be private.
