Clara Louise Sensabaugh, 82, of Lexington, Virginia peacefully passed away on July 6, 2019.

She was born on June 27, 1937 in Lexington. She was the daughter of Jim and Louise Fix.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, J. P. and Melvin Fix.

She is survived by her children, Dean Sensabaugh (Sharon), Stanley Sensabaugh, Lorri Hite (David), Wanda Conner, Wendy Hession (Mike) and Brandi Dominguez (Rene); 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Clara was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Buena Vista. She loved to watch sports on TV, along with Monday Night Wrestling and "The Young and the Restless". To quote mother, "NASCAR wasn't any good after Earnhardt died and country music died along with Conway Twitty."

Clara loved being surrounded by her loved ones. Her house was always full at any given time. She had a sense of humor and a quick wit that never failed. Her favorite pastime was working a puzzle book while enjoying a Hardee's biscuit and sweet tea in the Kmart parking lot.

Clara lived her life for her family. She was selfless, sometimes to a fault. She will be remembered for her kind heart, genuine smile and her blue eyes that were the window to her soul.

A service will be conducted Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Harrison Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Dean Staton. Visitation with the family will be at 3 p.m. with the memorial service following at 4 p.m.
