Obituary for Lilly L. (Bailey) Weese Lilly L. (Bailey) Weese
White Sulphur Springs Resident Electrical Assembly Supervisor

Lilly L. (Bailey) Weese, of White Sulphur Springs, WV, left this Earth for her heavenly home at the age of 83 on July 15, 2019 after a short battle with cancer.

Lilly was born in Cyclone, WV on July 12, 1936, the oldest of fourteen children to the late Arnold and Hester Paynter.

In 1996 after 31 years with ABB, and its predecessor companies, Bendix, and Combustion Engineering, she retired as Supervisor of Electrical Assembly.

She was an active member of the Lewisburg Community Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she served on the Board of Trustees, and was previously a deacon.

Lilly was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was charismatic, colorful, feisty, fun, and a truly beautiful person, inside and out. She made a lasting impression on everyone she met and was loved by all who knew her.

Lilly was predeceased by two wonderful and devoted husbands, Thaddeus Bailey and Kelis Weese. She was also predeceased by brothers, Devon Paynter, Jesse Paynter, Dewey Paynter, Fred Paynter, Clay Paynter, and sister, Phyllis Matney.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Kathy Sampson (Vance) of Lewisburg, WV; sons, Elwin "Eli" Bailey (Kathy) of Frankford, WV, David Bailey (Dawn) of Statesville, NC and step-son, Kelis Ray Weese (Corine) of Los Angeles, CA; brothers, Dwight Paynter (Denise) of Kimball, MI, Reid Paynter (Ginny) of Oceana, WV, Daryl Paynter (Sandy) of Farmington Hills, MI, Richard Paynter (Teresa) of Cyclone, WV, and Ray Paynter of Waterford, MI; sisters, Darlene Paynter of Scottsville, KY, and Joann Michaloff (Joe) of Logan, WV; grandchildren, Lynda Allen (Shane) of Norfolk, VA, Leslie Podsiadlik (Kenny) of Renick, WV, Nikki Bailey of Statesville, NC, and David Bailey II of Cornelius, NC; great-children, Rhiannon Allen, Mallory Podsiadlik, Madelyn Podsiadlik, Caden Benfield, and her dearest friend, George Defibaugh. She will also be missed by many other family members and friends.

The family would like to extend our sincerest and most heartfelt gratitude to Peyton Hospice House in Lewisburg, WV.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 18, 2019 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home, 884 Jefferson St. N., Lewisburg, WV.

Funeral services will be officiated by Pastor Mark Shafer and Pastor Hat Defibaugh on Friday, July 19, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Community Pentecostal Holiness Church, 2934 Brush Road, Lewisburg, WV with interment immediately following at Rosewood Cemetery in Lewisburg.

The Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
