Obituary for Jasper Daniel Crawley, Jr. Jasper Daniel Crawley, Jr.
Lewisburg Resident Was Covington Native

Jasper Daniel Crawley, Jr. of Lewisburg, West Virginia, formerly of Covington, Virginia went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at the Greenbrier Medical Center.

Daniel was born July 17, 1989 in Covington, the son of Sheila Darkwa and Jasper Crawley, Sr. and stepfather, Frederick Darkwa.

He graduated from Covington High School, where he was a very good student athlete enjoying and playing football. In addition, he really enjoyed playing video games and spending time with his family.

He was employed with Rescare and Walmart of Lewisburg West Virginia.

A hard working man, he married the love of his life, Kayla Crawley and remained married for 6 years until his death. Kayla, otherwise known as "Biscuits," loved his sense of humor and the laughs and smiles, he brought to people's faces. Quiet, but soft spoken, he loved to smile and have a good time.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Langon and Joyce Burns and brother, Le Daryl Cortez Burns and aunt, Linda Crawley.

He is survived by his wife, Kayla Crawley; aunts, Joyce Hughson (Gerald) of Clifton Forge, Virginia, Mary Waters of Walldorf, MD, Juanita Helton (Sam) of Covington, Teresa Crawley, Linda Jeter; uncles, Steven Burns, Lionel (April) Burns, Elder Langon Burns, Jr. (Ella), all of Harrisonburg, VA; Richard (Rachel) of South Hill, VA, Lovell Silvery of MD, Terry Burns of Roanoke, VA, George Crawley of Covington and William Crawley of Newport News, VA. Also, he is survived by grandparents, Selena Crawley and Eloise Kirby.

In addition, he is survived by his great aunt, Rev. Dr. Dianna Quarles, mother-in-law Angela Tucker and father-in-law, Kenneth Tucker, Jr., sisters-in-law, Chelsea Tucker and Alexis Tucker; brother-in-law, Trey Tucker and host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A funeral service was held at noon on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at the Gospel Tabernacle Church of God In Christ in Covington, Virginia.
