Obituary for David Lee Vallandingham David Lee Vallandingham
Ronceverte Resident Was U. S. Crane Employee

David Lee Vallandingham, 61, of Ronceverte, West Virginia, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Wednesday, July 24, 2019.

Born in Fairfax, VA on June 3, 1958, he was the son of the late William Patrick Vallandingham, Sr. and the late Delores Mae Steiger Vallandingham.

David was a long-time crane operator with U. S. Crane and Rigging, where he was a dedicated employee.

He was an avid ocean fisherman, loved to cook, going to auctions and bargain hunting for great deals. He loved to entertain family and friends, was the life of the party, and always made himself available to help those in need, as he was generous to a fault.

He was preceded in death by his brother, George Anthony (Tony) Vallandingham, and he is survived by his other siblings, Deborah Vallandingham Hughes, Michele Vallandingham, Patricia Vallandingham, Teena Vallandingham, William Vallandingham, Jr., Charles Vallandingham, Russell Vallandingham and Thomas Vallandingham, as well as his daughter, Autumn Vallandingham.

A visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday, July 30, 2019 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in White Sulphur Springs.

Per David's wishes, his body will be cremated following the visitation.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Outer Banks Forever - a non-profit fundraising partner that works to protect the national parks at one of David's favorite fishing spots.

The Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
