Paul Moya, 62, of White Sulphur Springs, WV passed away, Friday, July 26, 2019 at his home after a battle with End-Stage Kidney disease.

Paul was born August 2, 1956 in Chicago, Il to Antonia Guadalupe Vasquez of Chicago, Il and the late Corando Moya.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Peter Moya Jr., brother-in-law, Frank Downey and his beloved cat, Tiger.

Paul made the selfless decision to enlist in the Unites States Army at the young age of eighteen. He served as an active duty military police officer around the world and was deployed during Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm. He received an honorable discharge in the summer of 1991.

His service to his country did not stop there. He dedicated many volunteer hours at the Beckley VA Medical Center, where he was recognized as Volunteer of the Year. He was well-known for his radio personality voice on WSLW, WKCJ and WRON.

Paul served as former Chairman of the Greenbrier County Democratic Executive Committee and made strides in campaigns around the state to work on making West Virginia the best it could be. He had an infectious smile and persona that lit up the atmosphere around him. He loved to MC events and festivals in the local area, especially the Dandelion Festival in his hometown where he was also recognized as an Honored Veteran. Paul lived to see his beloved Chicago Cubs finally win the World Series. He loved all Chicago Sports and Nascar.

Including his mother, he is survived by his daughter, McKenzie Moya (Eric Gwinn) and their children, Aydon, Canyon and Lydia of White Sulphur Springs, WV; brother, Rick Chandler (Nancy Dombrowski) and their children, Payton, Chase and Nick; brother, Pete Moya and his children, John, Antonio and Nick; sister, Lupe Moya Downey and her children, Lisa and Michael, all of Illinois. He is also survived by the mother of his daughter and lifelong friend, Teresa Campbell Lowe (Kenny); his life partner, Pamela Walker and her children, Anthony Derosa and Alexis Walker and her son, Avett; former brother-in-law, Jr. Campbell (Kim) and their daughter and son, Zondra and John, former mother and father-in-law, Gerald and Phyllis Campbell, and numerous great nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 1, 2019 at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel, 252 Montvue Drive, Lewisburg, with Pastor Stephen Baldwin and Pastor Ron Miller officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at the funeral home. Following the funeral service, it was Paul's wish to be cremated.
