Ellen Hostetter Harris, 95, of Lexington, Virginia died Thursday, August 15, 2019 at Kendal.

She was born December 3, 1923 in Rockbridge County, a daughter of the late George Mays Hostetter and Florence Seay Hostetter.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Russell Harris Sr. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Mrs. Harris was a member of the Glasgow Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are her children, Sheila Swenson of Bowling Green, James R. Harris Jr. of Lexington and Michael Harris of Buena Vista.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Monday, August 19 at Lauderdale A. R. Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Benjamin Dowling and Pastor Bill Cobble. Burial will be private at New Monmouth Presbyterian Church Cemetery. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
