Obituary for Windsor James Bardis Windsor James Bardis
Marine Corps Veteran Was Bricklayer, Stone Mason

Windsor James Bardis, 85, of Buena Vista, Virginia passed away peacefully on August 13, 2019 at the Virginia Veterans Care Center in Salem.

He was born in Keene, N.H. on April 20, 1934 to James and Catherine Bardis.

He is survived by a son, Mark and wife, Veronica; a daughter, Michelle and husband, Tim; former wife, Madeline; grandsons, Manuel and Anthony; sister, Lilla Gadapee; numerous other family members; and a host of friends, including J. W. "Red" Sorrells, Brad Ward and Sharon Heffner.

Windsor proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps and was a bricklayer and stone mason by trade. He was an avid gardener, enjoyed hiking on the Appalachian Trail, and was a huge New England Patriots fan. He enjoyed a good game of Yahtzee and completed many intricate jigsaw puzzles.

Cremation services are being provided by Lotz Funeral Home of Roanoke.
