Obituary for Clefard (Clef) D. Reynolds Clefard (Clef) D. Reynolds
Man Of Several Careers Was Collierstown Presbyterian Church Member

The well-lived and well-loved life of Clefard (Clef) D. Reynolds of Lexington came to a close on August 22, 2019 in the home he built in 1987 with his wife, Lucille.

Born in 1929, he was the second son of Aaron and Zola Reynolds. He married his life partner, "Lou," when he was 17 and they were together until her death in 2007. Sadly, he was also predeceased by his brother, Sylvia Reynolds.

Clef is survived by his son, Alvis and wife, Sue; daughter, Joyce and husband, Ron Kessinger; granddaughters, Elizabeth Reynolds and Katherine (Katen) Reynolds and Taylor Riccardi; grandsons, Chase and Charles (Carlos) Reynolds; sisters, Nadine Goodbar, Gatha (Nelson) Hall, Hilda (Ellis) Morris; sister-in-law, Barbara Reynolds; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Clef, (also known as Matt to family) was a mill/textile worker, insurance/car salesman, and realtor, the career he loved the most.

He was a member of the Collierstown Presbyterian Church and Loyal Order of Moose.

Clef was also an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoying time at the White Pine Forest lodge in Bath County and loved playing golf with his good friends.

With his positive attitude, quick smile and hearty laugh, Clef was just a great son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, friend, neighbor, storyteller, kidder and prankster. He was known for his beautiful vegetable garden and shared its bounty with countless people. Everyone will miss him dearly.

A memorial service will be conducted at Collierstown Presbyterian Church Saturday, September 7 at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that donations be given to the Collierstown Presbyterian Church or Rockbridge Area Hospice.
