Nancy Slough Hayslett, 77, of Lexington, Virginia passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Born June 4, 1942 in Rockbridge County, she was the daughter of the late Jackson A. Slough Sr. and Lula Belle M. Slough.

She was also preceded in death by her stepmother, Elizabeth Cash Slough, and brother-in-law, Harry Reed.

Surviving are her children, Butch Sorrells (Becky), Tony Sorrells (Ida), Sharon Heffner (Brian), Sonya Gilmore (Rolfe), and stepson, Freddy Hayslett; five grandchildren, Adam Frame, Brandon Fitzgerald, Marcia Turner (John), Tosh Sorrells, and Kelly Hayslett; two great-grandchildren, John Turner Jr., and Alexis Turner; sisters, Jo Ann Chittum (Tommy), Bonnie Reed, and Cathy Collins (Kenny Taylor); and brother, Jackson A. Slough Jr. (Janis).

The family will receive friends at 4 p.m. Thursday, August 29 at 9 Cranberry Lane, Lexington. Memorial contributions in Nancy's memory may be made to Rockbridge Area Hospice or Fairfield Rescue Squad. Arrangements are being handled by Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
