Joyce Clark Lewis, 77, of Lexington, Virginia passed away Thursday, August 29, 2019 at Lewis Gale Medical Center.

Born September 1, 1941 in Amherst, she was the daughter of the late Henry Ward Beecher Clark and Lorena Mason Clark.

She is also preceded in death by brothers, Homer Wilhelm and Delmas Clark; and sister, Della McCraw.

Surviving are her husband of 59 years, Robert Lewis; children, Vicky Kendall (Jim), Deirdre Axelrod, Fred Lewis (Valerie), and Robbie Lewis (Amanda); seven grandchildren, April Staton, Ashley Fauber, Marleigh Miller, Atlanta Watts, Jarrod Lewis, Zachary Lewis and Cyle Lewis; four great-grandchildren, Maggie Fauber, Ellis Miller, Charlotte Watts, Henry Miller; brother, Leon Wilhelm (Sarah); many nieces, nephews and special friends.

A memorial service was conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, August 31 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Lexington Ward, with Bishop Brian Clark officiating.

Arrangements were handled by Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
