Jenny Catherine Sorrells Kerr, 80, of Staunton, Virginia passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born in Rockbridge County on March 23, 1939, the daughter of the late Andy B. Sorrells and Lelia F. Sorrells.

Catherine was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her children, Darryl Kerr and wife, Amanda of Vesuvius, Kaye Brooks and husband, Timmy of Staunton, Dean Kerr of Staunton, Travis Kerr and wife, Sherry of Vesuvius, and Kim Martin and husband, Shane of Staunton; two sisters, Thelma Cranston and Lois Sorrells, both of Buena Vista; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The family received friends Saturday, August 17 at Charlton and Groome Funeral Home in Fishersville.
