Former Greenbrier Photography Shop Employee Was Emmanuel United Methodist Church Member

Phyllis Jean Freeman Persinger, 87, of White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at Lewis-Gale Alleghany Regional Hospital in Low Moor, VA.

She was born September 22, 1931 in Caldwell, WV, the daughter of the late William Shelby and Vera Bennett Freeman.

Phyllis was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church and was retired from the photography shop at the Greenbrier Hotel.

Preceding Mrs. Persinger in death other than her parents was her husband, George "Perk" Persinger; a sister, Sally Surber and her brother, William Freeman.

Surviving are her children, Lynne Persinger (Jeff McKinney) of Bluffton. SC and Debra Davis (Wes) of Brevard, NC.; granddaughter, Meghan Davis of Charleston, WV and several nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Phyllis' wishes she will be cremated with no services scheduled.

In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to the Greenbrier County Humane Society, 151 Holliday Lane (P. O. Box 926), Lewisburg, WV 24901.
