Obituary for Margaret Caldwell Wilhelm Margaret Caldwell Wilhelm
Rich Patch Resident Was Cliffdale Christian Church Member

Margaret Caldwell Wilhelm, 75, of 3507 Upper Rich Patch Road of Covington, Virginia went to be with the Lord at home on Friday, September 27, 2019.

Mrs. Wilhelm was born January 9, 1944 in Covington, Virginia, the daughter of the late Fred and Mary Frances Tucker Caldwell.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by two brothers, Julian and Stuart Caldwell.

Margaret was a former employee of Jane Colby, MDM Sewing Factories as well as a CNA at The Brian Center and private setting.

She was a loving wife, mother, granny, sister and friend that never met a stranger. She attended Cliffdale Christian Church.

Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Burton Wilhelm of Covington; two sons, Alvin Derwin Wilhelm and Sharon Sue Campbell, daughter-in-law of Covington; Gary Eugene Wilhelm; Charlene Hubbard Wilhelm, daughter-in-law of New Castle; daughter, Lorrie Wilhelm Ferguson; Hugh Nathan Ferguson, son-in-law of Lexington, VA; six grandchildren, Kristina Wilhelm (Andrea), Samantha Campbell (Dubbie), Ryan Wilhelm, Jennifer James Fisher (James), Daniel Ferguson and MacKenzie Ferguson; seven great grandchildren, Serenity Campbell, Colton Wilhelm, Ian Fisher, Lindsay Fisher, Kara Rickey, Kieran Wilhelm and Kamden Wilhelm; three brothers, Carlos Caldwell, Jerry (Bill) Caldwell and Calvin (Wayne) Caldwell, all of Covington; three sisters, Virginia (Darlene) West of Eagle Rock, VA, Elizabeth Ripley of Williamsburg, VA and Mary Sue Morris of Covington. Several nieces and nephews and cousins and her special fur baby, Tillie.

A special thank you to Mountain Regional Hospice, nurses and special aid, Dianna Bowles, Doctor Scott Brown, Doctor Michelle Ballou and the staff of Jackson River Internists.

A Celebration of Life will be: Family Night, Monday, September 30 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. The funeral will be Tuesday, October 1 at 11:00 a.m. A short graveside service will be at Lone Star Cemetery at 12:30 p.m. for those who wish to attend and say their goodbyes to an amazing woman.

Services will be at Cliffdale Christian Church, 4605 Upper Rich Patch Road, Covington, VA. Active pallbearers are Ryan Wilhelm, grandson; nephews, Stacey Byer, Jamie Byer, Nolan Caldwell, Shannon Crawford, Stephen Humphries. Honorary pallbearers will be nephews, Doug West, Bobby Long, and Shane Crawford.

The Conner Bowman Funeral Home, Rocky Mount, Virginia, is in charge of arrangements.
