Obituary for Janice Marie (Pritchard) Wagner Janice Marie (Pritchard) Wagner
Former Monterey Resident Dies At Age 80

Janice Marie (Pritchard) Wagner, 80, formerly of Monterey, Virginia passed away Monday, October 28, 2019 at Brightview Baldwin Park in Staunton, where she has been a resident since May.

She was born January 23, 1939 in Logan, WV, a daughter of the late Pauline (Hall) and Dellus W. Pritchard.

On June 21, 1958 she married Carl William Wagner, who preceded her in death on December 6, 2018.

A secretary, Janice worked for Vepco and then Dominion Power retiring after 30 years. She actively attended Monterey United Methodist Church and enjoyed helping with church meals. Most of all, she loved spoiling her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by three brothers, Joseph, Don and Tommy Pritchard, as well as three infant brothers and sisters.

Surviving family members include her son, Kevin Wagner and wife, Theresa of Monterey; three grandchildren, Clifford Wagner of Staunton, Emily Wagner of Richmond and Joseph Wagner and wife, Laurel of Nashville, Tenn., as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Obaugh Funeral Home with pastor Bobbi Jo Gardner officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Grass Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will Clifford Wagner, Joseph Wagner, Kyle Almond and friends attending the service.
