Obituary for Linda Jean Martin Linda Jean Martin
Lewisburg Native Dies At Age 73

God broke the mold after Linda Jean Martin was born on March 12, 1946 in Greenbrier County.

She was the daughter of the late Robert and Virginia Ridgeway of Lewisburg, WV.

Jean passed away on November 7, 2019.

Jean was a passionate fan of the WV Mountaineers. Jean was like a kid on Christmas Day whenever WVU football and basketball games were on.

Jean's impact reaches far beyond her family due to her loving and caring nature. Her natural instinct was to always put others first. Nothing would've made Jean happier than for you to go out and commit a random act of kindness in her honor. Take this opportunity to pay for someone in line behind you, give a little extra change to the Salvation Army bucket this holiday season, or to share a smile or a compliment with a stranger. It is our hope that our sweet Jean's memory will live on in these acts of kindness as she would have chosen to generously do the same.

Jean was proceeded in death by her husband, Robert Lee (R. L.) Martin and her brothers, Bill Ridgeway and Steve Ridgeway.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Robert (Robbie) Martin (Robin) of Ft. Meyers, FL and Ronald (Ronnie) Martin (Brenda) of Orlando, FL and her daughters, Sherry Rosynek of Palm Beach, FL and Christy Tsiantos (John) of Orlando, FL.

Jean relished her role as Chief Spoiler and Mamaw to her nine grandchildren: Matthew, Trevor, Sarah, Tyler (Megan), Tanner, Heather (John), Michael (Kayla), Lane, and Dillion and the newest Mountaineer fans in the family, her 5 great-grandchildren: Daphne, Robert, Allison, Aaron, and Adalyn. Left with decades of memories of the famous "Ridgeway Sunday Dinners" up on Muddy Creek Mountain together are her three sisters, Joyce Burr (Danny), Judi Gazaway, and Jane Ridgeway and her brother, Bob Ridgeway (Detra), as well as countless loving nieces, nephews, neighbors, and friends.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. The services will conclude with internment at the Roach Cemetery on Muddy Creek Mountain.

A celebration of her life will be held at Hill and Holler on Tuesday, November 12 at 5 p.m., with a buffet style dinner. In Jean's memory, any child at Hill & Holler on Tuesday will receive a free ice cream cone sponsored by her loving family on behalf of "Mamaw Jean."
