A. Approval of the minutes of: (1) an adjourned meeting held on June 25, 2024; and (2) a regular meeting held on July 2, 2024.
5. PUBLIC HEARING:
A. Public Hearing to consider a request from Dana Ruano and Thomas Page, Jr. for a Special Use Permit to locate a single-wide manufactured home in a Residential R-2 zone classification on five parcels which total approximately 25,264 square feet located on Maldon Street in the Low Moor area of the Jackson River District of Alleghany County. The property is currently owned by Richard Fridley, Jr. (lots 8-11) and Mary Fridley and Richard Riley (lot 12). The property is further identified on the Real Property Identification Maps of Alleghany County as Tax Map 42A, Section 1, Block 10, Lots 8-12.

A. Discuss and consider a Resolution of Respect for Carolyn T. Barnette.
B. Discuss and consider resolution regarding proposed settlement of opioid-related claims against Kroger.
C. Discuss and consider pay for Board of Equalization members.
D. The term of Mr. James Griffith on the LOA Advisory Board expires August 31, 2024. Terms are for three years and Mr. Griffith is eligible for reappointment.
