Fincastle Man Arrested For Possession Of Materials Depicting Sexual Abuse Of An Animal   FINCASTLE, VA (Feb. 7, 2025) - – The Botetourt County Sheriff’s Office has arrested and charged an individual for possession of obscene items, depicting an individual engaged in sexual contact with an animal. The suspect has been identified as: Michael B. Benson, 41, of Fincastle, Virginia Benson was taken into custody on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, following an extensive investigation. On December 26, 2024, Detectives with the Botetourt County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Unit were alerted to the incident by a cyber tip. The investigation revealed obscene material depicting unknown individual(s) engaged in sexual contact with an animal. Micheal B. Benson is currently being held in the Botetourt-Craig Regional Jail without bond. This case is an active and ongoing investigation.
