Alleghany Highlands School Board Personnel Actions (July 1, 2025)   Low Moor, VA (July 2, 2025a) - At the conclusion of closed session on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 the School Board took the following personnel action: The School Board approved the appointments of Brittany J. Johnson as English Teacher, and Amanda B. Scott as School Secretary, both at Alleghany High School. Tamala J. Preston was approved as Paraprofessional at Alleghany High School/Clifton Academy. Randall W. Allen was approved as Head Custodian, and Edgard NMN Pierre as Custodian, both at Covington Middle School. The School Board also approved Hannah N. Brantley as School Nurse, Donna H. Austin as Paraprofessional, and Tanya M. Woods as Paraprofessional/SPED, all at Callaghan Elementary School. Adriene C. Barbosa was approved as Paraprofessional/SPED, and Kellie N. Nicely as Custodian, both at Jeter-Watson Elementary School. The School Board also approved Sophia G. Villegas, and Lisa Y. Dudley, both as Paraprofessional/SPED, Shellie M. Nicely as Custodian,; all at Mountain View Elementary School. Also approved was Barbara S. Morris as School Secretary/Bookkeeper at Sharon Elementary School. In Extra-Curricular activities the School Board approved Amy B. Simmons as Volunteer Volleyball Assistant Coach at Covington Middle School. The School Board accepted the resignations of Jason B. Conaway, Director of Special Education at the School Board Office. Judith L. Hensley, Math Teacher and Girls JV Soccer Head Coach, at Alleghany High School. The School Board also accepted the resignation of Amy B. Simmons, Volleyball Head Coach at Covington Middle School.
