AH School Board Personnel Actions (8_17_26)

| Low Moor, VA (Aug. 21, 2026) - At the conclusion of closed session on Monday, August 17, 2026, the School Board took the following personnel action.
The School Board approved the appointments of Ashley N. Broughman as Shuttle Driver, and Edward F. Back III as Bus Driver, both at the Bus Garage. Also approved was Karen R. Nephew as CTE Agriculture Teacher, Kellie R. Cash as Paraprofessional/SPED, and Jake O. Brannon as Custodian, all at Covington Middle School. The School Board also approved Charity L. Craft as Paraprofessional/SPED, Laura A. Snead as Paraprofessional/Speech, Rhonda L. Ryder as Paraprofessional/SPED, and Wanda J. Garcia as Custodian, all at Jeter-Watson Elementary School.
Amy H. Jackson was approved as School Secretary at Mountain View Elementary School. Raegan G. Nicely was approved as a Paraprofessional/Speech at Mountain View Elementary and Covington Middle School. Also approved was Kevin W. Catron as Custodian Part-Time at Callaghan Elementary School.
In Extra-Curricular activities the School Board approved Karie A. Browning as Color Guard Head Coach at Alleghany High School. Also approved was Christine L. Hodges as Cross-Country Head Coach, Tyler A. Carter as Football Assistant Coach, Kristen B. Garten as Volunteer Cheerleading Assistant Coach, and Logan T. Arritt as Volunteer Baseball Assistant Coach, all at Covington Middle School.
The School Board accepted the resignations of Brody M. Crance; Custodian Part-Time, and Amber N. Paxton, Food Services Part-Time, both at Callaghan Elementary School. The Board also accepted the resignation of Giaynna A. Haynes-Smith, Paraprofessional/Title 1 at Jeter-Watson Elementary School and Mary L. Farrell, Shuttle Driver, Sharell A. Jeter-Coles, Secretary of Transportation and Maintenance, both at the Bus Garage. Deborah L. Rodgers, School Secretary at Mountain View Elementary School, Rebecca H. Parsons, Paraprofessional/VPI, at Sharon Elementary School; and Kellie R. Cash, Paraprofessional/SPED at Covington Middle School. | | | | | |
