The amendment is needed due to carry forwards in the amount of $6,550,037.00, and outstanding encumbrances in the amount of $1,192,895.50 from the Fiscal Year 2025-26 budget, and the award of $293,387.00 in Rural Emergency Medical Services Grant funds from the Department of Health and Human Services for the Alleghany Highlands Rural EMS Excellence Initiative.
