Marie Dixon Taylor, 91, of Lexington, Virginia died Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at Heritage Hall.

She was born July 31, 1928 in Rockbridge County, a daughter of Irvine Bell Dixon and Nellie Ruth Fulwider.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hobert Carson Taylor.

Marie was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her children, Joseph Carson Taylor and Dr. Kathryn Marie Bowers (John); grandchildren, Christopher Taylor (Reagan) and Elliott Taylor; and great-grandchildren, Sullivan and Carson Marie.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Trinity United Methodist Church by the Rev. Joseph Cailles. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall after the service.
