Obituary for William Henry (Peck) Persinger William Henry (Peck) Persinger
Farmer, Logger Dies At Age 93

William Henry (Peck) Persinger, 93, formerly of Bens Run Road, died February 6, 2020 at the Woodlands Nursing Home in Clifton Forge, Virginia.

Mr. Persinger was born November 4, 1926, the son of the late Isaac B. and Phoebe Gaines Persinger.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five sisters, Catherine Persinger, Mary Frances Persinger, Melvina Ailstock, Annie Switzer, and Nina Persinger; four brothers, Joe Persinger, Isiah Persinger, Charles Persinger, and Arnold Persinger.

Peck was a farmer and a logger, who loved racing, watching and feeding the squirrels and birds. He was known as the "Weatherman" at the Woodlands.

Surviving are his sister-in-law, Marie Gaines of Covington, and a number of nieces and nephews.

The graveside service will be held Sunday, February 9, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. in the Lone Star Cemetery with the Rev. Virgil Woodie officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. on Sunday at Arritt Funeral Home.

The funeral arrangements are being handled by Arritt Funeral Home.
