David Earnest Powell, 76, of Glasgow, Virginia was called home on March 10, 2020.

He was born on September 23, 1943.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Ed Powell and Virginia Campbell Powell, and his wife, Carol Berry Powell.

David retired from Modine and attended the Natural Bridge Christian Fellowship Church. He was a life member of the Glasgow Lifesaving Crew.

He is survived by three children, Kim P. Whitten, Clint Ayers, and Tiffany Ayers; brothers, Bobby Powell and Larry Powell and wife, Patricia; close friend, Regina Ayers; and the family of Snapper Austin.

A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, March 13 at the Glasgow Cemetery with Pastor Wes Galford officiating.

Arrangements are being handled by Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
