Obituary for EAnna Kathryn (Annie) Ward Waugh Anna Kathryn (Annie) Ward Waugh
Lewisburg Resident Retired From B. F. Goodrich

Anna Kathryn (Annie) Ward Waugh of Lewisburg, West Virginia passed away Saturday, April 18, 2020 at Peyton Hospice House in Lewisburg.

She was born October 16, 1943 at Hix, W.Va., a daughter of the late Roy Franklin and Atha Romaine Gillian Ward.

Annie worked hard her entire life, starting out in Ace's and Tony Edna's Restaurants, where she cooked, served and cleaned all by herself. She then retired in 2005 from B. F Goodrich after 34 years of service.

She enjoyed her vegetable, flower gardens and cooking. Most of all she loved sharing with people. She loved sharing vegetables from her garden, her canned food, and sourdough bread. She loved to cook for family and friends, and would make sure there was enough food for them to take home.

In addition to her parents, Annie was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred "Bud" Waugh; a brother, Roy Melvin "Snook" Ward; an infant sister, Mildred Marie Ward, and sisters, Imogene Richmond and Dorothy Sears; a nephew, Avery Dale Bragg; and son-in-law, Dennis R. White.

Survivors include her daughter, Ruth P. White of Lewisburg; sister, Mogene Dobbins of Hinton; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews; including a special great-niece, Tasha Naik of Hinton; a special friend, who was like a son, Jimmy Cook of Lewisburg; and her furry friend, Susie Kathryn.

A graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, 2020 at The End of the Trail Cemetery at Clintonville.

A visitation with strict Covid 19 guidelines enforced will be Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg.

Special thanks to Dr. Marilyn Glaser, Dr. Richard Durham for many years of care, and to the nurses and CNAs at the Peyton Hospice House for their care and kindness during the last four days of her life.

The Wallace & Wallace Funeral is in charge of arrangements.
