Winfred Donald (Bill) Dickerson of Lexington, Virginia died Saturday, April 25, 2020.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Dickerson Wise; and two wives, Evelyn Dickerson and Ida Dickerson.

He is survived by his stepdaughter, Lois M. Dickerson and husband, W. Herman Dickerson; three sisters, two brothers; Ida's four children; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Born in Fairfield on June 1, 1937, Bill enjoyed a long retirement from Washington and Lee University, gardening and a well-kept lawn. As a faithful member of the South Lexington Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, he delighted in sharing his faith with others throughout the community and attending large gatherings with his fellow worshipers near and far.

A memorial service is to be arranged at a later date.
