Darlene Chittum Sours, 68, of Fairfield, Virginia went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, June 15, 2020.

She was born Jan. 12, 1952 in Rockbridge County.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl J. Chittum and Ruth Moore Chittum, and brother, Dexter Chittum.

Darlene was a homemaker who loved God, her family, teaching Sunday school, which she did for 35 years, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren, especially her granddaughter, Kaitlyn.

She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Roger Sours; sons, Mark Sours and wife, Paige, Lee Sours and wife, Rebekah; and daughter, Beth Branham and husband, John. She is also survived by her only grandson, Jacob Sours; granddaughters, Kaitlyn Sours, Makayla Sours, Leah Sours, Emmalee Sours, Jubilee Sours and Miranda Branham; numerous brothers and sisters; and her Marlbrook Baptist Church family.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 20 at Marlbrook Baptist Church with Pastor John Tilley officiating. Burial will follow at Fairfield Cemetery.
