Katie Jenkins Mason, 89, of Natural Bridge Station, Virginia passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at Kendal.

Born October 25, 1930 in Bedford County, she was the daughter of the late Elisha Lawrence Jenkins and Mamie Hensley Jenkins.

She was preceded in death by son, Roger Mason; brothers, John, Wyatt, Edward, Lloyd, Cecil and Lawrence; and sisters Dolly Edwards, Mildred Painter, Lelia Johnson and Bessie Austin.

Katie is survived by two daughters, Teresa Jennings (Richard) of Natural Bridge Station and Melody Purcell (Wesley) of Jacksonville, Fla.; three grandsons, Justin Watkins (Lindsey) of Salem, Andrew Watkins (Sarah) of Moneta and Lake Purcell of Jacksonville Fla., along with three precious little great-granddaughters; and one brother, Marvin Jenkins (Iva) of Natural Bridge Station.

Katie was a charter member of Faith Baptist Church in Natural Bridge Station from 1957 to 2020.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 pm. Monday, June 22 at Faith Baptist Church in Natural Bridge Station by Pastor Terry Bostic for family and extended family. Burial will follow at Hills Cemetery.
