Obituary for Lewis Wayne Reynolds Lewis Wayne Reynolds
Former VDOT Employee Was Lauderdale A.R.P. Church Member

Lewis Wayne Reynolds was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.

"Brother Bo" as he was known to his brother, Robert Reynolds and his sister, Joyce Wood, was born September 27, 1940 in Lynchburg to Robert and Bernice Reynolds.

Wayne met the love of his life, Nellie Reynolds on July 4, 1969. They married the following year and remained married for 50 years until his passing.

He is survived by his beloved wife, his daughter, Michelle Lamoureux (Dave Lamoureux) and his son, Christopher Reynolds. He was a proud Papa to three grandkids, Zachary, Grant and Ella Lamoureux, whom he cherished deeply.

Wayne was a devout Christian and served as a deacon and elder of the Lauderdale A. R. Presbyterian Church. He worked as a draftsman and inspector for the highway department and later sold insurance for 20 years. His work colleagues named him "Moose," a nickname which followed him for many years. He had a love of vintage cars, Western novels and above all else, he loved his family.

Wayne Reynolds passed away on Father's Day, June 21, 2020. He will be missed by all.

A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Friday, June 26 at Stonewall Jackson Cemetery with the Rev. Benjamin Dowling officiating.
