Martha Kirby Patterson, 90, of Goshen, Virginia died Thursday, August 13, 2020 at Shenandoah Valley Health and Rehab.

Born March 22, 1930 in Rockbridge County, she was a daughter of the late Ernest Moore Kirby and Frances Estelle McCullough Kirby.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Edward Patterson, and two brothers, Winfred and Phillip Kirby.

She was a member of the Stone Church of the Brethren.

Surviving are her children, Pamela Faye Staton of Glasgow, Virginia Anne Truslow (David) of Buena Vista, and Angela Rose Layne (Steve) of Glasgow; a sister, Linda Nicely of Buena Vista; eight grandchildren and nine great- grandchildren.

A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 15 at Harrison Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Lloyd Via officiating. Burial will follow at Goshen Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service. A mask and social distancing will be required.
