Obituary for David Lee (Toots) Napier David Lee (Toots) Napier
Ronceverte Resident Dies At Age 71

David Lee (Toots) Napier was born on June 25, 1949 at S. Charleston, WV to George Andrew Napier and Geraldine Ruth Jones.

Toots passed away on August 18, 2020 in his apartment in Ronceverte, West Virginia.

He grew up in West Virginia and joined the Air Force in 1968 during the Vietnam War. He served his country honorably until 1972.

Toots lived most of his adult life in Michigan and has three sons. He had a passion for music, wrote several of his own songs and could play many instruments, his favorite being the guitar. Upon retiring, he returned to West Virginia to be close to his family.

Toots is survived by his sons, Virgil Napier and his wife, Jennifer, Michael Napier and his fiancé, Alicia and David Napier; his two grandchildren, Heather Ware and her husband, Nicholas and Thomas Napier; sister, Barbara Napier Deem and her husband, Tommy; three brothers, Houston Napier and his wife, Nancy, Ronnie Napier and his wife, Karen and Michael Napier; cousins, nieces and nephews, Sherry Napier and many friends.

A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 22, 2020 at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg, with Pastor Gary Baker officiating.

The U.S. Air Force will conduct funeral honors at the chapel.

The Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
