Carol Elizabeth Pete, 76, of Monterey, Virginia passed away Thursday, August 20, 2020 at Bath Community Hospital, Hot Springs.

She was born in Watertown, N.Y. on July 22, 1944, a daughter of the late Harold Leonard and Helen Elizabeth (Marsh) Seymour.

On August 4, 1962 she married Barry James Pete.

Carol in her younger years was famous for her gardening, canning and cooking and hosting delicious meals for her friends and family. Her family was her life and she loved them with all that she had. Her sweet personality and beautiful smile were shared with everyone that she met.

In addition to her husband, Barry of Monterey, she is survived by a son, Barry J. Pete Jr. and wife, Tammie of Clayton, N.Y.; two daughters, Yvette Reome and husband, Bruce of Clayton, N.Y. and Yvonne Wimer and husband, Steven of Monterey; six grandchildren, Barry, Clifton and Joseph Pete, Tyler Reome, and Lucas and Brianna Wimer; as well as special care giver, Ann Puffenbarger.

She was predeceased by her parents and a brother, Andrew Seymour.

The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
