Clifton Forge Resident Was Vietnam War Veteran

John Clinton Stinnett, age 73, of 219 W. Ridgeway Street, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at his residence.

Johnny was born April 3, 1947 in Loving, Deerfield County, Ohio to the late Elmer Jackson Stinnett and Frances Alice Kern Stinnett Duff.

He was a disabled American Veteran who served in the United States Marines during the Vietnam War.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Stinnett and a sister, Jackie Troilo.

He is survived by a sister, Frances Sanchez and husband, Luis of Roanoke, a number of nieces and nephews, and a special friend, Elwood Deisher of Clifton Forge.

In keeping with his family's wishes, his body will be cremated. There are no services planned at this time.
