Obituary for Rev. Phyllis Ramsey Hostetter Rev. Phyllis Ramsey Hostetter
Natural Bridge Native Dies At Age 76

The Rev. Phyllis Ramsey Hostetter, 76, of Pittsfield, Mass., died September 25, 2020 at her home.

Born in Natural Bridge on June 20, 1944, the daughter of Lloyd S. and Elmar Layton Ramsey, she was a graduate of Natural Bridge schools.

The Rev. Hostetter was pastor of Berkshire Full Gospel Church for 35 years.

She was a collector of cardinals and butterflies. She enjoyed traveling.

The Rev. Hostetter leaves her husband, Garlet "Sam" Hostetter, whom she married June 16, 1962 in Natural Bridge.

She is also survived by her children, Pamela S. Bouchard of Pittsfield, and Ritchie M. Hostetter and Timothy M. Hostetter, both of Washington, Mass.; her grandchildren, Audrey Wojtkowski, Amanda Brown, Ritchie Hostetter, Cotilynn Hostetter, Jessica Hostetter and Brielle Paris; as well as five great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a son, Michael D. Hostetter, who died September 18, 1993.

Burial will be in Collierstown Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sturge-Weber Foundation or HospiceCare in the Berkshires in care of Derby Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield.
