McDowell Resident Was McKendree United Methodist Church Member

Adeline March (Armstrong) Hull, 88, of McDowell, Virginia passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at Rockingham Memorial Hospital.

She was born March 1, 1932, a daughter of the late Hiner and Lola (Botkin) Armstrong.

On March 9, 1953, she married James Hubert Hull, who predeceased her on December 9, 1987.

A member of McKendree United Methodist Church, Adeline enjoyed many church activities, especially making apple butter. She enjoyed bluegrass festivals, gardening and camping. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

She is survived by her daughter, Frances L. Hull of McDowell; son, Steven W. Hull and his wife, Gaye Nell of McDowell; sister, Ellen Ratcliffe and husband, Eugene of Monterey; grandchildren, Heather Hull Hicks, William Joseph Hull, Stephanie Lynn Hull, Amy J. Hammer and Alisha D. Hammer; nephews, Gary Thompson and Greg Ratcliffe; four great-grandchildren, Branson Hull, Logan, Amelia and Bella Hicks; as well as her special dog, Daggy.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a grandson, Robert "Bobby" James Hull; sister, Thelma Armstrong Thompson; niece, Janice Thompson; and best friend, Maxine Huffman.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, October 31, 2020 in Doe Hill Cemetery, with Rev. Beth Pyles officiating.

Pallbearers will be Eugene Ratcliffe, Billy Hull, Dale Hammer, Gary Thompson, David Demory, Chris Hicks, Logan Hicks and Larry Armstrong.

Honorary pallbearer will be Bill Huffman.

Memorial contributions may be to Doe Hill Cemetery, c/o Larry Armstrong, P. O. Box 73, Doe Hill, Va. 24433.

The Obaugh Funeral Home, McDowell, Virginia is in charge of arrangements.
